Compass Group Ireland Operations Manager Awarded IHI Hospitality Manager of the Year - Catering

Tobias Schoch has been awarded the 2014 IHI Hospitality Manager of the Year - Catering.

Compass Group Ireland is proud to announce that the group’s operations manager, Tobias Schoch, has been awarded the 2014 IHI Hospitality Manager of the Year - Catering.

 

The category celebrates senior managers in the Irish catering industry and heralds exceptional ability, performance and professionalism in a managerial food services role. Schoch accepted the accolade, awarded by the Irish Hospitality Institute, at a presentation ceremony and banquet in the Aviva Stadium on Thursday 27th November.

 

The IHI Hospitality Manager of the Year Awards are amongst the most highly respected hospitality and food services awards programmes in Ireland. Judging criteria for the 2014 Catering category included demonstration of exceptional ability to manage and fulfil all professional duties, display of superior interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, plus evidence of continual professional development. Schoch was shortlisted and chosen as the category winner by an independent panel of industry adjudicators.

 

Schoch joined Compass Group Ireland as operations manager in August 2013, coming from a strong background in hospitality and food services having worked previously with the Marriott and Ritz Carlton Groups.

 

Speaking about the win, Fiacra Nagle, managing director of Compass Group Ireland commented: “Managerial and operational excellence are hugely important within Compass Group Ireland and we are gratified to see our colleague Tobias recognised and awarded for his contribution to catering management. It was an added honour to have the award presented at a banquet in the Aviva Stadium, one of Compass’ largest units in Ireland, catered by our partner Neven Maguire. It was a proud moment for all the team.”
