Foodservice business, Compass Group Ireland, has donated €11,400 worth of food and drink to the Irish homeless charity, Dublin Simon Community. The charity provides services to over 7,600 people each year who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Compass is reaching out to local charities as part of its food waste campaign to ensure any additional stock goes to good use and hopes to continue their relationship with Dublin Simon Community in the future. The donation consisted of tea, coffee, juices, biscuits and bread and will be distributed to people in need across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.
